#47 – Ye Olde Curiosity Shop (the most unique shop in the world)- Downtown Seattle

Ye Olde Curiosity Shop at Pier 54 on the Seattle Waterfront has been delighting Seattle Visitors and locals since 1899!Founded by J.E. “Daddy” Standley and run by three generations of his descendants, this shop was deemed one of the seven wonders of Seattle in 1933 and enjoys about 1 million visitors per year. This is not your typical souvenir shop but more of a display museum that also sells touristy souvenirs. On display you will find a walrus skull with three tusks, totem poles and other Salish themed artwork, shrunken heads, two mummified human bodies named Sylvester and Sylvia as well as many more fun and creepy items.
