Escape the concrete jungle of Seattle and head North to experience the beauty of one of the Puget Sound’s many island communities.
This specialty 8-hour Pacific Northwest experience allows you to explore a gorgeous island in the Puget Sound from Seattle. If you would like to consider our other days out and experiences, browse our Private Seattle Tours and our Speciality Seattle Tours.
The ferry boat to Whidbey Island departs north of the city from the town of Mukilteo. The quick 20-minute passage drops you in the town of Clinton, one of the many beautiful small towns you will explore on Whidbey Island.
As we drive and explore, we stop to appreciate the stunning landscape around us. You will enjoy a stunning one-mile (flat) hike through the Price Sculpture Forest before stopping for lunch in one of the charming town’s small business districts.
Then we continue north through Whidbey Island to reach the bridge above Deception Pass. The bridge itself is incredible but so is the park below. There’s a good reason why Deception Pass is Washington State’s most popular national park, and the views from the bridge will let you see why firsthand.
Once we head over the bridge we drive through the towns of La Conner and Mount Vernon en route to I-5 so that we can drive back south into the city to drop off at your accommodation or off to your next adventure.
