Our Whidbey Island and Deception Pass tour begins with a scenic drive north on I-5 to the charming town of Mount Vernon, where we’ll enjoy entertaining stops, window shopping, a coffee break, and time to soak in the local ambiance. From there, we continue to the iconic Deception Pass Bridge, a 1935 architectural marvel and a highlight of Whidbey Island, offering breathtaking views of Washington’s most visited national park and unforgettable natural beauty.
From the majestic Deception Pass, we venture deeper into Whidbey Island, immersing ourselves in its idyllic landscapes and natural beauty, including a visit to the Price Sculpture Forest, where a beginner-friendly one-mile hike showcases nature’s artistry. The island’s charm shines as we enjoy lunch in a delightful town center, savoring local flavors and the charisma of island life, before exploring historic landmarks like lighthouses and the abandoned barracks of Fort Casey, a former military gun station.
Our island adventure reaches its final chapter in the town of Clinton. From here, we board the ferry bound for the town of Mukilteo. Enjoy views of the water as we speed over the waves on our 20-minute voyage. The picturesque town of Clinton awaits as our last destination, marking the perfect conclusion to our island adventure.
